"I'm earning enough to pay school fees."
Mary is one of the many success stories. Thanks to 100 Humanitarians and her Garden Tower, she can grow a variety of local vegetables in a small space — all year round, without waiting for the right season. She harvests twice a week, earning about KES 600 ($4.50) per week from selling her surplus. That’s roughly $12–15 a month, enough to cover household essentials and contribute to her children’s school fees.
For Mary, the Garden Tower isn’t just a food source — it’s a steady income stream and a path to financial stability. And for just $50, you can give another family the same opportunity to feed themselves, earn an income, and build a better future.
“We’ve moved from struggling to thriving.”
Thanks to the Garden Tower project, John’s family has overcome hunger and achieved lasting food security. They now grow a wide variety of vegetables year-round — enough to feed their family, sell for extra income, and invest in new ventures like chicken farming.
Even during droughts, their garden towers continue to flourish, providing both nourishment and financial stability. Beyond the harvest, the project has equipped them with valuable farming skills and created sustainable income streams that will benefit their family for years to come.

"The Garden Tower has been my tower of Hope"
“The Garden Tower has been my tower of hope,” says Sarah Nafula, a mother of four in Mbajo Village. Once struggling to put food on the table, she now harvests fresh kale up to three times a week — enough to feed her family and sell the surplus to neighbors.
The income gives her financial independence, no longer needing to rely on her husband for every expense, and has restored her dignity within the family. For Sarah, the Garden Tower has brought both nourishment and empowerment, transforming daily life into one of stability and hope.
What would you do if you only had 30 days to live?
That question stopped me in my tracks at a recent event. It made me think what I'd want to contribute to the world.
I've had the privilege of going to Kenya recently and for many children there, this isn’t a thought experiment.
It’s real life.
Without reliable access to food, malnutrition and starvation put their lives at risk every single day.
For some families, the next 30 days matter more than anything.
So I decided to stop treating the question like a hypothetical…
and start living like it’s real.

Hi! I'm Chris
I recently had an experience where I deeply reflected on what I would do if I only had 30 days left to live. It made me realize the only reason I wasn’t putting myself out there was fear of judgment, other people’s, but even more so my own.
But if I truly only had 30 days left, that fear of judgment would go out the window, and I’d give my best contribution to the world.
I’d been friends with Heidi from 100 Humanitarians for a while and had known for months that she had a sustainable solution to world hunger. What held me back wasn’t belief in the solution it was getting stuck in my head about how to spread the word.
I’ve always wanted to be a content creator who raises the energy in the world.
So when I let go of my judgment and decided to live as if I only had 30 days left, this challenge, to feed 100,000 people in 30 days was born.
Thank you so much for supporting and being part of the end of world hunger ❤️
