Dental Clinic

The Nkoilale Dental Clinic, launched in 2024 by 100 Humanitarians International, provides essential dental care to families in Nkoilale, Kenya on the Maasai Mara. Prior to the clinic’s opening, access to dental services was scarce, leading to widespread issues such as tooth decay and infections.

The Need for Dental Care

Shortened Life-Span

Without access to dental care, people in the Maasai Mara face significant challenges that can severely impact their health and quality of life. Untreated dental issues, such as cavities, gum disease, and infections, can lead to chronic pain, difficulty eating, and malnutrition. In severe cases, infections may spread to other parts of the body, causing life-threatening complications. The lack of dental services also contributes to poor oral hygiene, as education on preventive care is limited. Additionally, children often miss school due to tooth pain, and adults may struggle to work or care for their families. These challenges highlight the urgent need for accessible dental care to support long-term health and well-being.
