We believe that by giving them a hand up, we can change that number! Teaching families how to grow their own gardens and raise their own food is the answer. Along with implementing community-owned projects, our local community directors help facilitate comprehensive programs addressing the challenges of food, water, education, and health.
When a family is struggling with how to eat, nothing else matters. Day after day, their thoughts are driven by the same fear. How will I feed my children?
Women in extreme poverty can walk an average of 6 hours every single day to access water…and it’s not even clean water. They are at risk of disease.
Education is everything when we are working to end poverty. If a family is living on less than $2 a day, where will they find funds to send their kids to school?
Nutrition, hygiene, and mental health support are critical for each member of a family to thrive. In rural communities, the challenge is how to reach the individual.
