Heidi Totten first traveled to Kenya in March 2015 after succumbing to peer pressure from friends. Two days later, she knew that it was going to be a permanent part of her life.
On July 12, 205, she got out of the shower and heard a voice say, "Go start a group on Facebook called 100 Humanitarians. I'll let you know why." She followed the instructions, and launched the non-profit organization a few weeks later.
She is passionate about helping families around the world achieve greater self-reliance and economic development.
Heidi has a Bachelor's Degree in Family Science from Brigham Young University, and runs her own consulting company, as well as The Business Blender with Vice Chair, Lori Walker (it was her fault that Heidi went to Kenya in the first place!)
She's a wife of Dave, mother of Josh and Clara, and when she isn't riding in dusty jeeps on the Maasai Mara, she can be found snuggling with her tiny yorkie and watching British drama shows.
Heidi runs three expeditions to Kenya each year, and also organizes family humanitarian expeditions and corporate retreats.
